Experience Co-op Success
Canadian work experience for international students
Do you have a student that wants Canadian work experience to be part of their business program? At Goodman, we offer an exceptional co-op program to students in the MBA (ISP) and the IMAcc.
How Co-op works
The optional paid co-op work term allows IMAcc and MBA (ISP) students to gain valuable skills, link theory to practice and to build their Canadian business network. Some of our co-op jobs lead into full-time post-graduate jobs.
The co-op term is offered at the end of the IMAcc and MBA (ISP) programs to ensure that students have a chance to strengthen their English language skills and gain valuable Canadian Business knowledge. Most co-op work terms are 4 months long.
In addition to their graduate courses, co-op students must attend weekly workshops during their academic terms that help them learn about new industries and careers. Resume help and interview prep is also provided.
In 2012-2013 our Co-op placement rates were:
MBA (ISP): 88%
IMAcc: 87%

| Learn more about our three new specializations. |
We want you to share the good news with your applicants about our three new MBA specializations. Goodman students that start in 2014 can now specialize in business analytics, operations management or even start working towards the Canadian CPA accounting designation. Goodman also offers MBA (ISP) specializations in Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Human Resource Management. Don't forget- applications are still being accepted for the MBA (ISP). |
| CPA/MBA (ISP) |
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Brock University's Goodman School of Business has been accredited in March 2014 by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) under the new National CPA Accreditation Program. Brock's Goodman School is currently the only business school in Ontario to offer a combined MBA and CPA program. The new combined program allows non-accounting university graduates to pursue an MBA and an accounting designation at the same time. We encourage you to visit our website to learn more about our new CPA-accredited stream. |
| Business Analytics |
Business analytics uses data and statistical methods to help organizations gain insight from their data in order to analyze historical data, predict customer behaviour or help improve business processes. The field has increased in popularity in recent years due to the increase in data available to organizations from customer loyalty programs, e-commerce transactions, and even sensory data from machines. We encourage you to visit our website to learn more about our new business analytics stream. |
| Operations Management |
The operations management specialization includes a focus on project management, quality management, logistics and supply chain management. Courses will cover many of the topics required for the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and the Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) professional designations from APICS -The Association for Operations Management (formerly the American Production and Inventory Control Society). We encourage you to visit our website to learn more about our new operations management stream. |
